UK based hotel group

Our client is a mid-tier hotel group with occupancy rates of over 80%, but revenues typical of a much lower quality hotel, mainly due to the reliance on booking intermediaries and the typical profile of a guest. We worked with this client to define a clear brand positioning and strategy to drive direct bookings from a more premium guest base. Our work led us to defining and implementing a broader guest experience programme and customer communications campaign that ultimately drove room revenues up by £10 per night, equating to an incremental £179m at the point of exit.

SME Finance Provider

We have worked with this client since 2015. They are the leading independent finance provider to UK SMEs, but facing tough competition from high street banks and other alternative finance providers. In 2015, we conducted an Independent Marketing Review (IMR) on behalf of their private equity owners and senior management to determine the potential of marketing to grow the brand, acquire new customers, cross sell to existing customers and ultimately beat the competition. Since then, we have supported management to define the three year growth strategy and overhauled the marketing function and agency ecosystem. With a clearly defined brand positioning and tactical campaign, our client has acquired over 250 new customers and delivered over £4m in incremental business value in the first 6 months of the campaign.

Big Four Accountancy Firm

We worked with this client to launch their cloud based accounting solution to SMEs. With audit margins in continuing decline and increasing pressure from regulators, our client needed to diversify its client base to build a platform for future long term growth. With much of the strategy already in place, we worked with our client to build the launch campaign – including the development of digital advertising, online chat, websites and scripts, through to the establishment of a marketing effectiveness framework to measure performance.
